As it can take an Ambulance a while to get here (especially at night) we want to make sure that we have Emergency Care whenever possible. Marcus is qualified to FREC L3, but also has just taken the taught & practical part of FREC L4 (First Response Emergency Care – this level is what the Ambulance service recruit as ECAs assisting the Paramedic).
This is part of the new training equipment to ensure all staff at Penmarlam are able to respond in an emergency.
We have over £3,000 of emergency care equipment on site including an AED (Defibrilator), Oxygen, airway management adjuncts, splints and Plasters!
We hope never to use them – but at Penmarlam we look after our guests
